Sanding down

I bought this printers tray a while ago, and have been meaning to clean it up. I have a craft stall at a local ladies evening, coming up, and I'm hoping this tray will be pretty enough by then to use as part of my display. Sadly the previous owner was a bit over excited with the orange-brown varnish.
