Life of a bubble maker

Death Traps

Early start this morning, as we needed to be at the ski centre to get our equipment before our lesson. Had a great time with a good Finish instructor. The normal no nonsense Finish approach to life.
Here’s how you put the skis on.
Here's how you go sideways up the slope and do a snowplough. Right off you go.
After 3 or 4 attempts it was then off to the ski lift. Right here’s how it works. This between your legs, skis straight and look forwards. Good. OK now follow me up the slope and get off at the first exit.
Managed to get up OK but couldn't quite stop in time at the top so ended up half way down the slope before the others managed to join me.
After another 45 minutes of going up and down the bottom part of the slope it was off to the top. 500m of pure terror in front of us. Numerous falls later we were at the bottom.
Managed to start to get the hang of it before the lesson ended.
Paid for another hour on the slope with RH. Did manage to get down without falling over a couple of time but not without either stopping completely or over doing a turn and going backwards down the slope.
Met up with Flip Top and HC who had been Ski Dooing in the morning. Back down the slope to go and get a Reindeer burger from the local cafe. Very nice.
Back to the hotel for a bit of packing before going out for dinner. Unfortunately the hotel had a function on which meant we should have gone to the largest log cabin in Europe for dinner. Flip Top was very tired so the others arranged to have dinner in the bistro at the hotel while we went to the log cabin. Very nice place and good food.
Spent the night drinking the beers we had bought and chatting to another couple before heading out for one last time to see if we could see the light. No luck
