They do have their undercarriage down, There's a bit of a rise between the end of the runway and the Jet Age Museum which gives this strange illusion! I took a quick photographic break from finishing off painting the Vulcan gantry that I started last week.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) voted the Staverton site as the 'Best General Aviation Airport 2013' at the Airport Operators Association annual conference.
I believe it is also the busiest municipal airport with the most aircraft movements daily.
