And We're Off!

Two hours later than planned but that's almost on time for us. And we even managed to pack the kitchen sink.

Forty-five minutes into our journey Alan managed to free his left foot from the footplate of his wheelchair so we stopped at the first services to sort it. David opened the car door, leaned in to retrieve Alan's shoe just as Alan's knee came up (accidentally) and caught David square on the mouth. There was blood. Ouch! Poor Alan got really upset as he didn't mean to hurt his dad. Tears and snotters. Nice.

All calm again now though. We've had the obligatory egg mayo rolls and coffee and are now on the M6 somewhere around the Lake District. Stopping overnight at the Holiday Inn Express Stafford where I am sure many luxuries await us. Ha!

Oh look, 4th set of roadworks coming up. How exciting!
