Home, in every sense ...

Touching down at George Airport at 10am, meant coming home after full three months away visiting my children, Blanche and James and their families, in Pretoria (three weeks) and from there going on to Perth where I spent the remainder (2 months and one week) with Lindy and her family.

Three months is a long time to be away from home, and during the last three weeks, Johann joined me and Lindy's family in Perth, Oz.
We did lovely sightseeing, had numerous flat whites, not to mention the lovely meals at fine restaurants. All very much enjoyed and appreciated.

In the first place I went to Oz to assist and help Lindy with her household chores, and other, while she was studying for her accreditation exam in Dietetics.
The results will only be known early 2010, and I keep my fingers crossed that all will be well for her.

After our arrival today at George airport, our friend, Deon, did the honours of providing transport back home - thanks, Deon, we appreciate you!

Having offloaded our luggage at home, we went to say hello to Cecile and her husband who are busy moving into their new home, almost completed. Not having seen the progress for three months, I was amazed at the cosiness and warmth that the newly painted rooms exuded.
There is still work to be done and presently the kitchen cupboards' doors are being hung. It is of natural wood, stained to a rich and lively brown.

Cecile is busy unpacking, cleaning up and doing everything related to moving into a new house. Although very tired, she seems to enjoy every moment.

This image shows the middle section of the house which houses the kitchen, scullery, dining room, fire place and lounge. It is a fairly large room, almost a hall, warm and cosy.

Joining both sides to this room, bedrooms, bathrooms, two studies and a studio are housed. Enough space to fiddle around to heart's content.

May they have peace and fulfillment of all their dreams and may this house really become their home. Having worked hard for it, they earn it. Every bit of the way.
