Signs of Autumn (Fall)

A busy time in Nelson this morning, then a rush to get home to catch up with people before they left work. I had hoped to stop somewhere on the way home for photos but didn't actually have time.

Fortunately when I was walking back in to work I passed these piles of leaves that our groundsman has raked up, and liked the colours.

Some say autumn is about endings and today is definitely a sad ending for us. One of our valued staff has just completed her last full day at our school; she leaves the country tomorrow morning.

Dinner tonight at "The CowShed" to say goodbye to her. No doubt there will be tears.
