It's in the stars....

For the last few nights I've been noticing the moon, the way the clouds have drifted across its face, and how incredibly bright the moon has been. I knew the time was right to point my camera into the farthest reaches of space....

So I looked up the phases of the moon to see what was going on....next week will be the first total eclipse of the moon to be visible across the whole of North America since 2010, known as a "Blood Moon", as the moon appears to be red in colour at this time.

It's a shame I'm not in North America to see the Blood Moon, but I'll be keeping an eye on the ole moon early next week, just in case there is something to see here in Australia.
