Wednesday 16 December 2009: St George's Cross
This wasn't the picture I had intended.
The trees in that area all have small lights and they look very impressive when you pass them coming off the M8 slip-road. However it wasn't quite dark enough for them to stand out. Also they don't look quite as good at ground level as they do from the elevated road.
So its a general shot of the area with the St George's statue prominent. I never really understood why we had a statue of the St George and the Dragon in Glasgow. The plaque states "Presented to the people of Glasgow by the Cooperative Wholesale Society"
