An ordinary life....

Spring Fields...

I'm so late uploading this, it's almost a back blip.

After their late night at McBusted last night Alan and Andrew didn't surface till 9.30. I suspect Alan would have slept longer but Andrew was awake and I'm sure he encouraged Alan to wake up also.

Marion arrived just after lunch and took the lads down into town for a couple of hours. We've got a houseful coming for dinner tomorrow so I went to the freezer to get out a joint of meat to defrost but couldn't find it. I must have used it but can't remember when! Honestly, I'm getting worse!

David was despatched to the butchers and we got the last of his chicken breasts so Coq au Vin will have to do them.

When David was out he noticed the little local art gallery was open so he brought the shopping home and, as we've been meaning to visit it for ages, off we went.

Very fortuitous too as we've been looking for a painting for a gap on our living room wall since we moved here and there it was in this little gallery, just waiting for us. It's by a Perthshire artist called Claudia Massie (it's a landscape of Glen Quaich not her road kill paintings that seem to be very popular!) and since it cost a little bit more than we'd planned to spend, we've decided it's our Silver Wedding gift to ourselves. Four months early but what's four months out of 25 years?! :-))

It's now on the wall and I'm totally in love with it.

Right, time to click done or this will be a back blip!
