Mystery Pods

I came upon these lovely colored and curled pods on my morning walk. I can't remember-and can't tell from the photo-what type of tree they are from. Some of the more straight pods had the appearance of gnarled fingers afflicted with athritis. That must come from the fact that my own arthritis in the great toe is acting up. Ouch!
