Blast Off

It was a great forth of july. Very busy day though. The firework show at Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia was great with a crowd well over 100,000. Especially notable were these fireworks that seemed to float in the air as if they had a para shoot (sp?) strapped to them.

After the show, traffic was so bad that we decided to just find a place to have deserts and drinks. 2 and a half hours later, we got in our car and the traffic was still severly backed up. Worse part about it was that in the mess, a two way street (3-4 lanes) turned into a one lane, packed with cars (2 hours after the fireworks had ended). Anyways, at one point an ambulance and fire truck (with blaring sirens and all) tried to go the opposite way and had to stay still for at least a solid five minutes. Eventually, one of the people in the ambulance had to get out and direct traffic himself. I felt bad for the injured inside.

Additional shots I thought of showing include fireworks2, fireworks3, and the fire truck squeezing through traffic during a right turn into the mentioned road.
