Oh Joy!

Other people have blossoms in their trees, or birds, or squirrels. We have..... a snake!

I saw him last weekend and had assumed, by his bulge, that he'd popped into the tree to eat the baby squirrels that were probably in the hole in the tree. He's there again today, so I'm wondering if he has now moved into the hole in the tree, and, like me, popped outside today to get a bit of sun.

This is the tree that overhangs my deck. I can see that the pair of us are going to have an uneasy coexistence this summer.
