Hollywood

Turned out nice again, warmish and the sky that unique shade of Pacific NW Blue.

Built in 1926 and wonderful to behold with a 50ft screen, and a bar upstairs, clearly not part of the prohibition era tradition, never the less, wonderful with a cambered corridor.

Today, celebrating the Wizard of Oz - The Kansas sequence in sepia then full restored color. Wow - not too keen on the long munchkin scene, but otherwise what a wonderful movie. Eryn was enthralled, as were we all, and they had someone play the organ for 30 minutes before the start, a Pathe news reel from 1939 and a cartoon to match. An uplifting experience.

And a special thanks to the local constabulary who did not use the opportunity to effect a punitive raid on patrons as they violated their two hour parking deadlines by a few minutes, would not have been the case in Santa Monica.

Oh, and won a raffle which gave me some free piano lessons, that should be fun, and we have a free piano.
