Buzzing

Bees are everywhere in the garden at the moment - it's a lovely sound. And there appears to be quite a variety of them too - we seem to have quite a few of these Carder Bee's in the garden - but also some bumble bee's and a few I've not identified. They like living in the drystone walls around the garden - especially where it runs through the dense parts of the hedgerow. Working in little gangs and on their own its a hive (groan) of activity - I'm happy to laze and watch on the pretext of improving my blipping.

We were worried the pooch had been stung on her fat swollen snout yesterday - but it seemed to have gone down by this morning and she's now acting like her usual self - at the age of eleven you'd think she'd have learnt to leave things like bee's alone - but the lure of sticking her snout into holes and bushes and where its generally not supposed to be just seems to be too much for her still. When she was a puppy she'd spend hours picking fights with the holly bush - I think she actually liked the fact that it was spikey. Said at least once a day in our house "daft dog".
