Set Your Story Free

Free Your Voice...A workshop taught by my oldest daughter Ayin Cushnir, as part of her senior project at Prescott University, culminated tonight in a showing of three powerful short films by Amy Baker, Sarah Danae and Belinda Zylberman, at
Clinton Street Theater in Portland Oregon.

When asked what Ayin had in mind for her workshop, she shared “The Free Your Voice Forum is a place to unfold stories near and far, new and old, personal and collective, for the purpose of healing and social change.”

It was a pleasure to see the work of these three women…wonderful stories, each one different, but having a common thread of love.

SHE TENDED THE FIRE by Amy Baker
A short film about a personal heartbreak, and about taking the heart-broken-open moments in life and using them to reach for our greatest potential. Myth and story as medicine. "An ending, and a beginning. A tale told three times."

LOVE ALCHEMY by Sarah Danae
A little film about two kinds of love-love that blindsides and love that enlightens.

ALWAYS BESIDE YOU by Belinda Zylberman
A short film about the loss of innocence, youth, and the journey that takes us full circle.

I loved this photo of my daughter and granddaughter Aria…as she enjoyed the evening as well!
