Easy to see.

I can't yet vouch for the hills- but the moors are alive with the sound of (bird) music. Walking the pooch this morning it was loud enough to affect conversation - lovely to hear. Yet - whilst I can recognise the Skylarks, Wheatears, Curlews and Lapwings by their songs I seldom get to see them.
Today we knew someone was very close - but it still took two of us a few minutes to spot this little fellow.

We walked to another local nature reserve today (Great Asby). When we got to the high stile over the drystone wall, having arrived via a very level track, the gate next to it was firmly padlocked. Not a problem for us, slightly irritating for Pushka (who hates to be picked up) - but the end of the walk for anyone with limited mobility - quite why we can't standardise this sort of thing I can't work out - a gate or kissing gate would open up areas to those less able and still serve the same purpose. Without forehand knowledge I'd be annoyed to arrive here only to have to show someone something else they couldn't manage, Somethings can't be changed, but some can.
