Marjorie's ramblings

The French Connection

I am pleased to report that today's weather was much better than forecast. The rain this morning was not heavy. The mist lifted and we had to contend only with drizzle and cold winds this afternoon. We walked 13 miles, mainly in the wild land north of Hadrian's Wall.

A few people cried off when they saw the forecast. The rain last night was torrential at times with localised flooding. Four of the French town twinners came. They are excellent walkers and good fun. Here is Claudie, whose camera was busy today. I took very few photos - leading the walk is not conducive to photography.

We ended with a visit to the Twice Brewed Inn on Hadrian's Wall. Now all I have to do is to finish writing my Tall Tale for tomorrow night. (Only 7 miles to walk tomorrow - thank goodness!)
