Hobbs's Run

From Brown's Gap

The short cut (scenic route?) which takes Blackheathens to Lithgow, passes though the beautiful Hartley Valley and rises gradually to a gap in the high (1000 metre asl) ridge south east of Lithgow township. The location is referred to as Brown's Gap. The road continues on through what must be the prettiest valley/canyon in all the world (pictures soon) called the Vale of Clywdd. At the gap itself you can walk (scramble?) up the ridge via a forbidding fire trail to the location from which I got this shot.

Far far off in the distance are a great many of the Blue Mountains features I have shot before but here is where you can see them from an entirely new angle. I have never blipped this particular view in the past.
