The answer to everything

Up earlyish with Ellen keen to get the presents delivered. Then she made and iced some biscuits for a birthday treat. Much mooching in the rain and some disappointing whittling in the garage. Out in Edinburgh for the birthday tea and home with just enough time to light the candles, blow them out and then pack the weans off to bed. It's a holiday tomorrow and there's a wee bottle of cold champagne in the fridge.
