Thursday 7 January 2010: Birthday with the badgers

We took the boat to Finland's oldest city, Åbo (Turku) to celebrate M's birthday. One of the highlights of the day was the Biological museum - one of Gustaf Kolthoff's (and his son Kjell's) creations from 1907-1908. The blip shows part of one of the 13 dioramas (two more can be seen here), showing animals (stuffed) in their natural habitats.

We also had time to visit the Sibelius museum, the Cathedral and, of course we also had good food and many cups of coffee with accessories. :-)
