Sea Urchin

A slow morning cooking and baking for friends coming for lunch. I made a traditional Buche de Noel with a chocolate and chestnut filling and have finally got the cooking and rolling of the sponge down to a fine art! We were supposed to see L and J and their daughters on New Years Eve, but the weather prevented us from getting together. It began snowing heavily again and we thought that we might have to postpone, but they braved the roads and we spent a lovely afternoon chatting and catching up.
