Crinan

We were a bit worried that we'd be the only boat heading through the canal after a lonely overnight* outside the sea lock. But out of nowhere a motorboat arrived up Loch Fyne, and from the canal basin, two other yachts were heading through, so it was a fine posse to be part of.
So, here we are at Crinan basin, ready for the first lock out at 8:30am. It was occasionally quite dry. And more often very wet, as you can probably tell. But the sight of the sea and the west coast has raised our spirits. Venison medallions and new tatties for tea! Where's that wine box?

* though blipfoto's very own snapper arrived with Donald to pay us a brief and very welcome visit.
