Gometra

Out the canal at Crinan at 9:40am; anchor dropped at Gometra at 9:40pm. I was for heading through Corryvreckan as it was slack tide and I'm sure Jane would have been OK with that too, but the cautious skipper (fair enough - it's his boat) decided against it so it was up the Sound of Luing to Fladda and a left turn. I'm sure that wind wasn't forecast, mind - the roped mainsail foot started coming out the boom. Yikesy, indeed. Hove too, my merry lads!
We fancied a wee anchor at Iona late afternoon but after fartarsing about, decided against it. The water was sloppin about, y'see. All ways at once. So it was onward. And here we are! Big Greek beans, bacon and eggs, side salad and the trusty Cab Sauv. Seacocks to open!
