Brough Lodge

Another cloudy day with the sun trying it's best to come out but no joy.

Spent the day exploring more around the isle of Fetlar. Along the beautiful Tresta beach, around Funzie and around the Brough Lodge.
Back home now and off out tonight with friends to watch the football.

This is part of the Brough Lodge, the chapel in the foreground and the watchtower which is built on a broch and was used for looking at the stars. A lovely old house originally built in 1820 but renovated and added to in the 1890s and currently going under more renovations. The house holds a dark horrible history though. The landlairds cleared hundreds of folk off the isle in the 1800s and you can see a lot of the ghost houses today.
