A Postcard Day

A memorable vacation will most likely indulge every sense: sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch. Today has accomplished that.

We woke to a light rain. Then spent the morning watching the clouds lift and lower and then lift again while enjoying the fireplace in our room. Near noon we ventured out to walk and enjoyed the surprise of sunlight. We sat in the garden courtyard at the Presbyterian Church, near the shops admired a rain wet flower, then walked the shoreline back to our hotel while witnessing the waves roar, crash, thunder, and fizzle to foam. Arriving at the hotel we admired the outdoor dinner party decoration below our room as the sun disappeared behind the cloud bank, and then watched as off in the distance the city lights began to twinkle.

We didn't accomplish much today except making memories and leaving footprints while enjoying ourselves immensely as we continued to be on location.
