Sadly, the only other action on the beach this morning was a massive dead seal, surrounded by a bevy of council workmen trying to work out how to dispose of it on a Sunday while, presumably, waiting for reinforcements.....didn't take any photographs of that scenario though, it felt too ghoulish....
