Two Boats and a Circus

19.8C starting dull then brightening in the afternoon and becoming sunny. Light breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went through to Arbroath this morning and had a wander round the harbour. There were day trip fishing boats already out at sea and these two boats were following another day trip boat out from the outer basin.

In the background you might be able to make out the Big Top of Zippo's Circus which is set up near the football ground on the seafront.

After lunch Maeve and I went for a walk down to the beach. The tide was out and all but one of the boats were sitting on the sand. The new (for this year) boat was moored out at the seaward end of the channel through the rocks and it was in enough water to be floating. I found out its name the other day when it was lying on the sand near the high tide line. It is called Silver Cat. Having seen that I am even more surprised the owner hasn't renamed it Valhalla VII.
