'Go By Train'

I went to the train station to see Renee, Roslyn, and Ginger off on their way back to San Francisco. Roslyn lives on the coast in the Bay Area. Renee and her daughter Ginger (14) are staying with Roslyn but will soon be headed home to Hawaii.

This cairn caught my eye. Shades of Andy Goldsworthy. Also of interest, the Benson Bubbler in the foreground, the classic Portland street lamps, and the 'Go By Train' neon sign atop the tower, a companion to the 'Go By Streetcar' sign in the Pearl District.

Looks as though we are in for weeks of blasting heat, with days above 100ºF. That's 38ºC for those who find three-digit temps too hot to handle. Eek!
