The Phoenix Rises

A day of two meals.

By the time we all arrived at the lunch venue at 15.00 hrs the piece of toast I'd had 6 hours earlier was a very distant memory.

A light lunch extended into late afternoon relaxed chatter, when realising I was suposed to pick up the grafting Ali from his father's work. Apparently the new alarm was not a 2 hour job, but at least 6 and he was not a little tired.

Now over an hour late for our Burns supper at Dunfermline, a quick dash over the water and the Haggis delivered, we duly stuffed our faces and toasted our friends and enjoyed more good company.

Tomorrow the gym and swim awaits. I think a few more lengths tomorrow to repair a little of the excesses today.

Ah, but it was fun!
