Sunflowers

We had a combined Hanover Garden Club and Hanover Historical Society program this afternoon at the Hanover Senior Center. GC. Board members were asked to bring a flower arrangement to be raffled at the end of the talk, The History of Gardening in New England given by John Galluzo. The arrangement that Raspberry inspected was my bouquet offering. The program was well attended and so interesting. The speaker is really a quite a treasure. He's so well versed and able to weave such interesting bits of information into his program with excellent slides as well. He works with children at a local Science Center and has written many books.

The flowers in the arrangement were from our garden, except for the sunflowers. I couldn't resist them when I saw them in the grocery store this week. We're loaded with day lilies, but they don't very nice in arrangements the next day. The raffle winners went home with lovely arrangements and smiles.

For the Record,
This day came in clear and cooler with DRY air, a welcomed relief after days of humidity.

All hands healthy
