Boularderie MammoWarriors!

What a fabulous day we had! Started early, our first race was at 9 am and we won, with a time of 1 minute 4 seconds!!! It was close, the other 3 teams were just fractions of a second behind us!

This is us in our second race, and that's me in the last seat, on the right (looking at the photo). We came in second in this heat, with basically the same time of 1 minute 4 seconds! This put us into 6th place, which gave us the opportunity to have a third race, with the others who had placed 5th - 8th! Unfortunately we came in 4th! But hey, we were all so excited cos this is the first time our team has made it to the finals!!!

The Cape Breton Dragon Boat festival raised in total, something like $38,000.....of which the MammoWarriors raised $21,799! We took home the trophy once again! That's the 7th year in a row!!! All the money raised goes towards cancer care here on Cape Breton Island!

What an amazing group we have.....lots of great food was provided by all of us.

Now i'm beat.....so it's an easy evening ahead of me!!
