Life through the lens...

Mr T.

I have mentioned Mr T. in my blips before
SEE HERE
We called this afternoon and found him busy hoeing his chrysanthemums.
Temperature reached 30c !!

He was pleased to tell us a tale about a presentation made to him last week.
His friend told him to come to work " dressed up"!
When he got to his shed/ office/shop, he was met by his friend, and also our local councillor, who presented him with a certificate, and medal from The Royal Horticultural Society, for 70 years service.
The RHS has a bar to add to the medal. One for 50 years service, one for 60 years service, but they were very sorry that they didn't have one for 70 years!!

I asked if they took any photos, and was it going to be in the local paper?
"No". was the answer. " I don't want any fuss."

So today, this is my tribute to a wonderful gentleman ( and gentle man)
Long may he continue to grow his tomatoes, and chrysanthemums.
We all wish him health and happiness for many years to come.
