The Running Track

Lots of events going on locally, to join in with the Opening of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Pre-event set up at church with a big screen presentation, a four lane running track, photo booth, carpet bowls, table tennis competitions and quiz. Lots of folks came along, it was very busy.

CJ took part in a 5K run, going past several of the "Clyde" mascots on the southside. Photos at each "Clyde" were emailed back to the event.

We watched the first hour of the Opening Ceremony, enjoyed seeing the Red Arrows zoom past from our window, and then headed to the airport to collect our friends from Singapore. We were surprised that there was hardly any traffic on the roads, quite weird actually.
