Road Trip

Hubby and I hit the road for a few hours, we headed west out to the mountains and beyond. Over Porters Pass, passing Lake Lyndon and Castle Hill, then deciding to take a break at Lake Pearson, it was a cracker of a day.

The mountain air was brisk as the sun beamed down, a slight breeze sent ripples through the lake while a few scaup swam in the middle. But it was this scene which hubby rather liked today - the power of the mountains while the road winds it way through, we were amazed how little snow there was. I see The Gap is clearly visible today, this is the back view of the Torlesse Range.

Another car shot, taken through the window as hubby was driving. Gotta love New Zealand, I know I'm biased but really.......

Happy Saturday blippers :)
