Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie hangs his head...

Archie had a shower this morning. We have a hand thingie, which makes it easier to rinse him off. He loved it.

Spent the morning watching badminton on my iPad, but managed to get dressed before our lunch guest, Z, arrived, sans Leo. After lunch we all walked across the Links for a coffee and Z got her bus. Archie decided to do some loud barking at an innocent dog crossing the road but I didn’t have my water pistol. Drat.

Actually, he’s not in the Good Books this evening. After a week or so with full run of the house, and loving charging around, scattering rugs everywhere, leaving his toys in the lounge, trotting from room to room following us, or just sitting waiting outside the bathroom door for you to exit again. But we were still wary. I had not observed him go on his own from the lounge out for a piddle. I had always accompanied him and made the suggestion. Tonight he went and piddled on the rug in the bay window!! He’d just been in the kitchen with his Very Own Door!

This is his preferred position on the sofa - with his head hanging over the edge. I’m sure it’s not good for him. His head should be hanging low in shame this evening.
