Growing old disgracefully

COMPANION PLANTING

Companion planing is defined as 'creating plant communities which have mutual benefits', for example planting marigolds along the edges of the veg plot to encourage beneficial insects. I liked this natural example by the roadside - the convolvulus using the willowherb for vertical support while the willowherb benefits ...mmm... maybe it doesn't which makes this an example of commensalism... oh, never mind God, your readers have lost interest by now.

Busy old day, with three major appointments almost running into each other. I don't know about the others, but there is huge benefit for me in these relationships. And I like the cooler, fresher weather, even tho the washing on the line is soaked.
