Pulling the ragwort out

The ragwort field has quite a bit less ragwort now than it did first thing this morning as we spent a couple of hours in the heat pulling it up.

This was my introduction to the volunteer group at Elvaston Castle Park and it was hard work but quite enjoyable. Let's see what we get assigned to do next Wednesday...

As if I wasn't tired out enough, I walked to the charity shop and worked there for a couple of hours this afternoon. I would have caught the bus back, but I could see it disappearing round the corner as I came out of the shop so walked home as well.

I hope I sleep better than last night, but I'll blame that on the late snack of cheese... which I definitely won't be having tonight!
