Raindrops and Honeysuckle

Saturday turned out to be the wettest day we've had for weeks! Last Wednesday it was the local show and it rained all afternoon, today was the big County Show, the agricultural show of the year, with displays, show jumping, lots of stalls and fairground rides, and it rained most of the day! Such a shame for all the isles folk who come into the town specially for it, once a year, it's a great social occasion.

We closed the shop today and all trooped off for a celebratory 70th birthday lunch for one of the longest serving members of the craft co-operative. Everyone else got a free bus trip but I, being under 60, still had to pay! Lovely raspberry mousse for pud . . . !
