Farewell summer

Was sweet watching these two engrossed in conversation on the walk home from the block party on our old street. The fest is always held the last Saturday of summer break - so this week the kids head back to school :(

And despite being so early in August, the weather has also transitioned to autumn. Most folks were huddled under the party tents wrapped in coats and scarves. It was barely 10 degrees out last night! Only my little skateboarder was running around in a T-shirt. Shiver.
