Dun-Dreich

Dundee was rather dreich early this morning I was waiting to get the signal into the station so stopped further back from the signal to get this shot looking back over the River Tay to catch this shot of the Tay Bridge and the piers of the 1st Tay Bridge which collapsed one dark stormy night back on 28th December 1879 at 19:16pm killing 60 allthough estimates were 75 but only 60 known of and only 49 bodies recovered,Driver David Mitchells body washed ashore 9 weeks later and was buried in an unmarked grave in Leslie Cemetery although a headstone is now provided for him anyway that was it and after the shift it was back home to chill out for the rest of the day but as I had an early dinner around 3pm yesterday I was stariving on my way into work this morning and was fortunate to find the chip shop opposite the Playhouse at the top of Leith Walk still open just and the guy had a single smoked sausauge left with around ten chios so at 02:47 am I was scoffing that thick sausage and chips covered in lashings of salt, sauce and vinegar Yumm some breakfast that eh and it was nice to see Meles a fellow blipper at Waverly about to board our train so a quick hello and a wee chat with the TM and Meles was upgraded to 1st class for a spot of luxury shhh lol , now then movie for the day is "The Night The Bridge Fell Down 1983" See Ya
