Skip's Blips

Graceful wing action

Without even seeming to try, hummingbirds do the most amazing things. They gracefully hover in mid-air, change their flight path in an instant, and sip nectar from flowers and sugar water feeders while rapidly beating their wings to stay in place. They love to fly to the tiptop branches of tall trees and look down at people that don't even know they are walking under one of God's miniature miracles. Today I captured pictures of a few in flight and decided this lovely lady should be the blipstar. Look here if you want to see some more wing action.

This has been a wonderful late summer day, sunny and actually cool. Tomorrow we are going to the zoo where I hope to find some interesting photo ops.
