Lap quilt

When my aunt Mary passed away in 2004 I got some of her things. She sewed alot and saved all her left over material. These were some of the wool squares that were neatly piled in a box waiting for someone to put together. I arranged them in rows and started sewing and came up with this cozy lap quilt that I lined with a flannel sheet. I tied it instead of quilting it just like they would do years ago and now when I get cold and wrap up in it, I remember my Aunt Mary and it brings a smile to my face. She was such a sweetheart and I miss her but she had a long and healthy life.
