Smile Please!

I most certainly did, even though I had the wrong lens on the camera. Having taken distant shots of Great Banded Graylings (Brintesia circa) many times, and always with closed wings, I was so happy to see one with its wings fully open. The long lens was for the dippers which were nowhere to be seen this afternoon. How often does something like that happen in blipland but you come away with a silly grin on your face anyway?

Large to see all those different shades of grey-brown with the light coming through the wings.

Thanks so much for the amazing number of hearts, stars and spotlight for the Golden Gardener yesterday!
