M., a new climbing partner

Our little boy had a birthday party today and, rather than have his sister be mini-Mum to all the kids, I decided to take her climbing. M., the older brother to the boy whose birthday it was also expressed an interest in joining her so I had double belaying/teaching duty. M. has only done a few climbs with the Cubs so I was very impressed by how well he climbed and with a lot of natural ability. It may have been a competitive thing but I also thought my daugher tried that little bit harder as well. Including completing a lead-climb right up to the roof for the first time. Very proud of her.
