Underneath the lantern, by the barrack gate...

Lake between the two mountains immediately to the east of Nuuk town. The steeper one to the south east is known in Danish as the Store Malene. The gentler one to the north west (just left of this picture) is the Lille Malene. No connection (except that further to the north was a major US wartime airbase), but some interesting background on the song here.
