Bedding down...

Finally got rid of our sons' bunks, which had been stored in the barn since they both graduated to double beds (to accommodate girlfriends) over the past couple of years. Bought in about 1989-90, I guess, they functioned as double bunks from when the younger moved up from a cot, in their shared bedroom (which I decorated for them to the backing of Elvis Costello's new album Spike on cassette), and then in separate rooms after we moved from Oxford to Pembrokeshire. They've done good service. We did not find a buyer for them, so donated them to Frame, a local charity that employs people with learning disabilities to restore and recycle unwanted furniture.

Spike of course includes the legendary track Tramp the Dirt Down. Lots more tramping still to be done.
