Not Porty People

The main reason for our flying visit was to look after this wee person as his Mummy, Daddy and Nana all resumed their busy first-day-back-at-work-in-September jobs today. What a lovely day we have had. ( if you look carefully you can even see proud grandpa Joppa Strand reflected in F's eye! )

Lovely to catch up with a couple of former colleagues too, and bump into a third, on The Promenade. Cheltenham really is a very small place!

Train to the plane home for us in the morning. A concept our 22 month old grandson has yet to grasp. He was expecting us to teleport him to Porty beach to play on the sand. The nearest he got to the beach here was The Promenade and the flocks of wheeling shrieking gulls that are, surprisingly , becoming a rarer sight and sound back home on Portobello Beach.
