Dessert on the Deck

A huge thank you to all for your comments and hearts yesterday which threw that birthday old lady to the spotlight way up. - You are much too kind! What an amazing supportive group blippers are. A SP is a bit scary to me, you won't see more than 1 a year....…. AND I have a technical question that I’m sure there is gobs of simple info about but I haven’t gotten around to the research. (maybe next year?) How can one focus on air when there isn’t a subject there - like a 6 ft person with nothing around…so she can run around and pose for that blinking camera on the tripod.????

I was most anxious to replace the old lady of yesterday with some cool interesting wildlife today(before now!) and so hoped for a sight of our osprey I haven’t yet been able to catch. It seems there was No One around- no seals on the rocks, no deer, raccoons, squirrels, otters, herons, very few birds at the feeders. It’s very eerie - there is no one in our bay on this gorgeous day - and schools are on strike in Vancouver BC. (terrible -possibly going to go to binding arbitration) Sat on the beach before dinner and wasn’t inspired. Only sea gulls. So here you get Dessert on the Deck on our last night of summer here. One d-i-l law gave us this dessert sauterne awhile ago - thanks, A!!! The boats are all off the dock, cleaned and put away and many little chores done before we leave tomorrow. (always on the lookout for wildlife) We’ll be back, but it won’t still be summer.
That sky is now bright orange. On to a "West Wing" rerun...
