Harvest

At church today we welcomed our new youth worker...... he is from Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and had a lot of bother with visa requirements, so we have waited for quite a few months for him to arrive, and it was lovely to welcome him.

We harvested our plums today...... our tree is not big as you can see from the photograph of the headless HG. But we harvested 22 lbs of fabulous plums. Spent the afternoon processing them, some for eating raw, and some for the freezer.

C helped with the chopping etc. and I was glad of it. We had home made lasagne for dinner, with plum crumble (what else) for dessert...... delicious.

The day has been beautiful, sunshine and quite warm. We were able to have coffee on the deck, which is always nice.
