An Unkindness of Ravens

Population explosion

Today was the day the Ichneumon Wasps hatched (that probably is not the correct word for their emergence into the world). Hundreds (thousands?) were all over the garden. However, getting one to stay still was another matter – their eyesight seems to be particularly keen and they flew off in droves from every bush and tree I crept up to. I presume the temperature must have hit the trigger point (possibly 21/ 22ºC) or there were more daylight hours or something We even have a few in the house that flew in when the door was opened. (I don't really want wasps in the house, so not sure what to do about those... though the cats have a few ideas...)

This seems to be my 600th blip.
